Mazda takes home four Car of the Year Awards

Japanese automotive manufacturer Mazda has once again proven its stand as one of the leading brands in the industry as it takes home four Car of the Year Awards from the Car Awards Group Inc. (CAGI).

Included on these awards are:

Best Compact Crossover SUV – Mazda CX-3 FWD Sport

Best Crossover SUV – Mazda CX-5 AWD SkyActiv-D

Best Wagon – Mazda6 Sports Wagon

Best Mid-Size Car – Mazda6 SkyActiv-D

The CX-3, which was launched last year, has already been recognized by Car Guide as a cleverly-packaged, good-looking and fun-to-drive small crossover. As it bags the Best Compact Crossover SUV award, the CX-3 separates itself from other brands in the segment by following the KODO design language—a philosophy unique to Mazda—contrary to its competitors who have taken the oddball design and features route.

As if leading the compact crossover segment was not enough, Mazda was also successful in securing the Best Crossover SUV award with the CX-5. The CX-5 prides itself in being a great all-rounder vehicle with topnotch features including a sharp steering and poised chassis, smart cabin, automated emergency braking and an optional safety tech-adaptive cruise.

Topping 2016’s Car of the Year awards for Mazda is the Mazda6 which received the Best Wagon and Best Mid-Size Car awards.
